When you look at the total you pay for all the free service, entertainment, food and the number of things to do and see, a cruise is still the best value. Keep in mind that with a land vacation you may not always dine as well as (full breakfast, lunch, casual or fine dinner, room service and midnight buffets) or have entertainment options (disco, live shows, sport activities and even movies) included for free. You are truly receiving more value for your money on a cruise.
In addition, cruise line airfares are blocked space with the airline and usually include transfers. By using the cruise line for your airfare they will make sure you make it to the ship on time. Be aware that they have control of your flights unless you opt to go with their custom air option.
There is one thing I’d like to point out to past cruisers. I, as well as my customers who have cruised before, have seen that the cruise lines are trying to keep initial (base) pricing as low as possible but are also adding on optional dining and activity fees that are not free. They may be charging for some activities like rock wall climbing, the golf simulator, water sports equipment and a few other things that you might think of as free. They are offering more and different restaurants for a per person fee. The fees however, are nominal and optional.
Yes, cruise lines prices are very afforable now. They still have the best value than air and land packages. |
